A few years ago, I received a heart transplant. Staying healthy since then means limiting exposure to crowded public spaces, so I built Gala Textile as a small business I could run from home, sourcing, fulfilling, and shipping every order myself. It's also part of why Gala Textile donates five percent of every purchase to Donate Life America, an organization supporting organ donation awareness, it felt like the right way to build a business, one that gives back the way I was given a second chance.
